Jack tacked up Calgary. They hadn't done much reining lately but since this might be their last show together for a awhile he through reining and trail would be a great note to go out on. She wore her normal saddle and bridle. The change was her saddle pad, a new dark blue one. Jack wore a dark blue western shirt, and the rest of his normal outfit.Jack lead the mare out of the barn. He mounted with an ease years of practice gave him. He found a spot and put her through her warm up. It was low and slow. Jack heard his number called and rode into the ring. He halted in the center of the ring. He put the mare into a gallop. then it all care second nature. The circle then the right spin. jack eased her through the circle with skill. Then she spun hard. She never did that in practice. Then he asked for the lead change and they went through the same motions the other way then the cantered up and around. They slide to a stop. it wasn't perfect since he hadn't put back on slide plates. Then the rollback. They came out of it hard and fast. Then they slide to a stop. Calgary glided backwards. Then Jack rode her out of the ring. He praised the mare as he lead her back to the barn to unsaddle.

Sina finished running a brush through Vaxi's mane and finished it with a last spritz of Show Sheen. Once that was done, she grabbed the gelding's black saddle pad and tooled leather saddle. She'd spent hours cleaning the fine work, and burnishing the silver accents, and it showed. A matching headstall completed the outfit. Sina's shirt was black, with blue and silver accents, and she'd spent some time matching a helmet cover to its design.
She led the gelding out to the arena and warmed up nearby, then entered the arena when it was their turn. The gelding was on top of his game, responding to her cues and halting nicely. It was obvious he'd just been waiting to run, though, as Sina sent him off into a lope. Her goal for the ride was to nail their spins, and while they didn't quite do that, Sina was still pleased by the time they had completed their last sliding stop and backed up. After Sina had dismounted and dropped the bridle for the judges to see Vaxi's bit, she remounted and let the gelding walk out of the arena, patting his neck.
