Before reaching A, he cued O'Malley to slow down and nodded as the gelding dropped back to a walk with a huff, and Mika saluted their instructor to show that he'd heard and understood the instructions and as they approached B, he once again cued the horse to what he wanted and while he had to be firm about the halt, he managed to halt the bay - albeit a step or two passed B.
He stood in the stirrups and nodded, deciding that he was happy with the length of them, and he could change the length after they began jumping if need be. "I don't have a problem with that." He said with a grin as he squeezed O'Malley forward and asked for a trot. "O'Malley might think he's being insulted though." His attention was on the cross pole and he half halted the gelding to remind him that he was the one in charge and he patted the bay's neck once they had trotted over the jump and circled to the back of the ride.

Seth couldn't be happier that he wasn't leading the ride, as he couldn't think of anything worse. He halted Bear before they reached B, not wanting to crowd the horse in front of them. He knew from earlier experiences that Bear and O'Malley didn't think the best of each other, and he didn't want to give either the opportunity to stake their claim on the alpha position now they were standing still.
When it was his turn, he squeezed the dunskin forward and smiled as he bounced into a trot and they trotted over the cross pole before circling back to join the ride.

Kona stopped Casper at B as they'd been asked. At the mention of stirrups, she worried for a moment, as they felt too short, but that was what was called for for jumping. It would take some getting used to.
She watched Mika and Seth jump the cross pole and then, when it was her turn, she asked Casper forward and focused on getting her positioning right. They managed to pole somewhat successfully, and then circled back to join the lineup.

Teddy followed the other students, listening to the instructor's instructions and then watching the others go over the jump. Basic things, and he smiled at Mika's quip about his horse - Avise might think the same thing! This was simple for him, but at least one of the other students wsan't a confident jumper yet.
When his turn came, he had Avise trot and then popped over the crossrail, before they circled back to stop behind Kona and her mount.
