With age, Mage has settled into a fairly quiet and level headed mare. While she isn't the most loving horse, a good scratch in her favorite spot will earn you some small amount of affection. By no means is she a mean horse, just indifferent. When it comes to riding, Jenna can ask her to do almost anything and she will, only kicking up a fuss on occasion. Not much spooks her, other than vocal dogs because barking tends to make her jumpy and unfocused.
She also needs to be warmed up well before most outings, since she still has a lot of energy. If she is idle too long she can become bored and will find her own ways of staying entertained. She tends to get a little lippy when bored and will nip at trees, other horses, or her riders toes. A simple lunging is usually all it takes to get her head in the game before an outing.
Mage isn't particularly fond of having her feet touched, and more often than not, Jenna ends up doing most of the filing and trimming herself. A few bad encounters with farriers had made her untrusting of almost anyone who tries to pick up her feet.

Basic History>>
Mage was bred at a sport horse breeding farm in Florida. She lived a pretty normal life to start, just eating and playing. When she turned two, things began to change. People started putting things on her, taking her places she wasn't familiar with her, and jumping on her. Once she was broken, she was sent off to a trainer who was very serious and didn't do much other than ride her.
Her training had gone well however, and Mage was sold to a competitive eventer. There she was pampered and shown on a regular basis. They had done well together in their circuit, but it just wasn't enough to be able to afford multiple show horses. And that's when she was sold to a riding school in St. Petersburg. Mage and Jenna were paired together and they grew together ever since. It had taken some convincing, but Jenna's parents had officially bought Mage for her on her 13th birthday.
