Personality>> Jenna values a first impression highly, however her observation skills generally have already formed hers before words are even spoken to each other. If she can, she watches how someone acts around others so she can decide whether or not she likes someone. Her intention isn't generally meant to be mean, so most of her first interactions are a smile and kind, curious words. If she does like you, you get the added bonus of infinite chances to make mistakes.
Jenna became rather standoffish over the years after her brother had made living in her own home hell. All of the misery at home translated into her school life and she was nearly constantly made fun of or stressed in school, so she started closing herself off some.
If Jenna forms a negative opinion of you, much like her face would suggest, it's probably best to avoid her. Her reservations towards people who she finds rude, obnoxious or just plain annoying tend to bring out the mean side of her. Being cruel isn't what she usually goes for, more like exclusion and shooting everything down. Though, cruelty can become this case if she feels she is being insulted or attacked in anyway as a defense mechanism. More often than not she isn't mean, just normal civility until she gets annoyed.
With all that being said, Jenna is a smart and fairly laid back girl. School is one of her favorite places to be, and learning and succeeding in school gives her a great deal of satisfaction. She's easily a top ten student and always finds her way to the top of a class. Her book smarts do translate into her street smarts fairly well, but her defensiveness is usually the protector she needs. Her smarts are a great tool too, for those moments when she messes up, since she can be quite manipulative without getting caught.
Once you get through to her, Jenna is a big-hearted girl who cares deeply about those she loves. She likes being around her close friends and used to spend most of her time at friends houses before she moved.

Appearance>> Jenna was given the thick, dark brown hair and eyes that her mother has. Her skin sometimes has that olive color, and rarely ever gets red, a tell of her Italian ancestry. Her beach days manage most of her looks however, tanning her skin, revealing her freckles and making her hair a light brown in the summer months.
Her build is nothing particularly special. Pretty average at 5'5", Jenna fills out normally for an active teenager. Her dancing and horse work keep her filled out but her love of food keeps her filled in.
Clothes while working with animals are a complete afterthought. As long as she can be comfortable and protected, what she has on has no real affect on her work. Outside of the barn though, she likes her silky and frilly blouses.
Markings>> Both ears are pierced. Has two scars on her forehead, one in the middle and one on the right side of her head. One small scar on the bridge of her nose from a break.
Medical History>> When she was young she smacked her head on the underside of her bed, cutting the skin on her forehead, and she has cut the middle of her forehead on a chair, pillow fighting her brother. Needing seven stitches on the first, and five on the second.
A car accident left her with a few dislocated fingers and a broken nose.
Full History>> Jenna was born in Boston, Massachusetts to an Irish father and Italian mother. Although she is able to speak Italian, she retained the Irish/Boston accent of her father's. Her younger memories are strictly from Boston, mostly of fighting with her older brother and spending days running around a penthouse. While her parents were always busy working in the city, Jenna was able to get pretty much anything she wanted with enough puppy dog eyes.
At seven however, her lavish city lifestyle changed as her family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Although it was still very much city-like, she spent more of her days socializing with friends at the beach. She was even able to convince her mother and father to let her attend a riding school.
There, she developed into the rider she is now and was able to convince her parents to get her a horse. Time at the riding school became her priority and she did her best to live life like a normal kid. Unfortunately though, all good things must come to an end.
Her brother grew into a rebellious state, treating their parents poorly and constantly stressing them out. Jenna's parents responded even worse. Tensions grew rapidly at home, and Jenna spent most of her time away from them at the riding school. All of the stress from her brother's antics had begun to make the house a war zone and soon enough put a strain on her parents relationship.
It only took three years in St. Petersburg for the stress to become too much for both parents. They got divorced when Jenna was ten. Her mother and brother left the house and moved away, but Jenna actually chose to stay in Florida with her father so she could stay close to her horse. He didn't take long to remarry, but Jenna liked her stepmother and developed a great relationship. That's where her love of dance started, since her stepmom was a former ballroom dancer.
Unfortunately, the shiny surface life that her father put on for others was nowhere near what they had. His constant stress left him with heart problems and not long after his 50th birthday, he suffered a severe stroke. After his passing, Jenna and her stepmom decided it was best to get away from the Florida lifestyle.

Personality>> Maisie is now a queen of the castle kind of cat. She loves her attention from Jenna and her mother, but has grown into an independent personality. Jenna's vocal nature towards her cat has rubbed off onto Maisie and now she is a talkative cat. It's very easy to tell when Maisie wants something, it's just up to Jenna to figure out what.
Despite being feral once, Maisie is not a fan of the outdoors in the least. Since being in Jenna's home for two years, not once had she made a dash towards the door or even willingly gone outside.
History>> Maisie was a stray and feral cat born in the city alleys. A woman who rescued cats managed to catch a very pregnant Maisie and take her to a local shelter. There she was taken in by a foster and slowly socialized. Her babies were weaned away as soon as was safe, although it didn't seem like she minded too much, since she was still a kitten herself when she had babies.
Once she was deemed social enough and healthy enough, she was put up for adoption. Since she was still fairly skittish, she wasn't adopted right away. When Jenna went in looking for a new kitty though, she fell in love with the playful personality and the well behaved nature of Maisie.
It took a few months to get settled, two of which Maisie spent sheltered almost exclusively in Jenna's room. Once she was comfortable though, Maisie ruled the house.
