While he doesn't try to socialize himself in big group settings, Wes is an entirely different person once he is comfortable around someone. He is fairly nerdy, obsessing over video game more than celebrities and music, and his friends usually are similar in their tastes. He isn't afraid to share his interests with his friends, even if it isn't their cup of tea.
Despite being fairly smart, Wes has lost his interest in school fairly early on. The fact that his father is a teacher keeps him doing his homework, but he generally doesn't go above and beyond like his sister does.

Wesley hits just under six foot. His height may not be the most staggering but he is fairly well built, with plenty of defined muscles to make up for his work ethic. He was also blessed with his mother's chocolatey brown hair and eyes. The former he keeps only a few inches on top and usually styles it messily.
Clothing is an interesting dilemma for Wesley since he doesn't particularly want to care what he looks like, but he can't convince himself to forgo the more stylish and dressed up looks. Even if he is wearing jeans and a tshirt, Wes pairs them with a jacket just to keep himself presentable. However, outside of school and any formal events, his black leather jacket is his favorite.

Wes was the first of two children had by Maks and Wila Gould. Both parents parents were teachers at the same school and were able to start their marriage fairly happily and quiet. At some point though, before he was born, Wes's parents began to feel a divide. His mother began to separate from her husband and entertain herself elsewhere. That is, until she became pregnant and went back home to her husband.
Despite the joy of having not one, but two children and raising them together, his mother and father still felt the rift growing. Eventually both parents fell into their old ways, his mother inti her affairs and his father into his work. Although he was the eldest, Wesley always got the short end of the stick. All of his parents attention was on his sister, the star, yet he never managed to blame her. He was able to get through his younger years without being the center of attention though,almost always yielding to his little sister's stardom.
His mother had always been obsessed with gymnastics, stemming from her failed career, and always pushed Welsey to compete. Wes didn't particularly enjoy the life as a gymnast at first, but after years of competing and training, it became a second nature to him. It took up most of his free time, and allowed him a bit of an outlet, but it wasn't always enough. When Eira was given Homer, it was one of the few real jealous moments that Wes felt.
His parents took some time before they broke and gave him what he wanted, but Wes was finally able to get his way. Horses were his true passion, but the one thing that he and his mother could bond over was gymnastics, so he focused more on that all his life. When he was given the option though, to stay with his mother or leave with his father, Wes felt absolutely no hesitation.
