He is very friendly, and loves treats. Not for a beginner rider, but advanced intermediate. He loves people, but is very loyal to Sawyer. Ransom is competitive, and a little high-strung. He wants to work, and gets impatient if he sits too long. He loves to run, and play with the other horses. He tends to be a bit over confident, but overall a good horse.
Caution Around>> Big rocks
Basic History>> Ransom was born in Northern California on a Holsteiner show breeding farm. He was sold at the age of 2 to a young couple who broke him out at the age of 3. They began to show him in English events at the age of 4. He wasn't placing high enough for them, despite the training he had. After 4 years, they decided they wanted to try again with another horse, and sold him to Sawyer's parents. Sawyer loved him, and continued to work with him in English discipline. She also trail rode him all over the place around her family's farm. When Sawyer was 14, she slacked off riding him, due to her mental health issues. He became impatient and liked to chase the other horses and the dogs around. Anytime anyone came around him, he was pushy. Sawyer's parents ended up having to lunge him on a daily basis in order to keep him calm. Sawyer finally began to ride him again a couple months later, and he calmed down a bit. He enjoyed having her around the barn. They have been riding and showing ever since.
