Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

For the fact that she was no longer a teenager, Andie was probably a little too excited about the first cheer session since the school year started, but that was probably why she was the cheer coach.
She grabbed the whiteboard and stand from her office and set the stand up off the spring floor and put the board in place. Pulling the pink marker - she had everything in pink - from her pocket, she began to write dates up on the board:
November 4 December 1 January 26 February 9 February 23 March 16
Capping the pen, she tucked it back into her back pocket and grinned as she waited for her team to arrive. "Space out, stretch out and we have lots to talk about." She said as she clapped her hands in excitement, before bouncing over to the stereo and turned it on, grinning as S Club 7 music filled the studio.

There was a definite bounce in his step as Kall made his way from the barn to his House and quickly changed into his cheer uniform, swung his sport bag over his shoulder and headed down to the gym.
Walking into the studio, his eyebrows rose at the dates on the board, he had a fair idea of what they were, being captain had some benefits, but he was keen to know if his suspicions were correct. "Really?" He whined as he dropped his bag on the floor against the wall and walked over to drop down on the large floor and began to stretch out.
His eyebrows rose at the coach's choice in music, though he didn't question it, as the woman seemed to take it as a challenge when her taste was questioned, and the music got older, not modern.

Tori made her way from the barn to her House, carefully opening and closing her hand, hoping that the mare hadn't done anything more than bruised it when she stepped on it. There again, if she hadn't thought that picking up a hoof pick while trying to hold a hoof up was a smart idea, it would never have happened.
Once changed into her cheer uniform, she made her way down to the gym and into the studio. Dropping her bag beside Kall's she frowned toward the board, and pulled a face at Andie's words, though she knew better than to argue as she went and found herself a spot on the mat and began to stretch out.

Kitty hummed happily to herself as she made her way down to the studio. She had come to cheerleading rather late in life; it was rarely practiced in Ireland, and she'd had only the rudiments of skill when she'd first started, but Blue Ridge had done well for her, and she thought she was really rather good by this point. Certainly, she had a natural aptitude, which was perhaps surprising given her general clumsiness.
She added her bag to the growing pile and found herself a space, dropping to the ground and starting to go through a routine of stretching. The blonde wondered vaguely whether she ought to do some kind of vocal exercises, since Andie had said that they were going to be doing a lot of talking, but she couldn't remember any that might be appropriate and so she refrained.

Sina had changed after classes, including a quick shower, and now pulled her damp hair back into a high ponytail before she grabbed her cheer bag and Der's things. They made their way outside and to the studio, where she dropped bag and dog along the wall. She found herself a spot to stretch at Andie's instructions, smiling at Kall and Toni, then raised an eyebrow at Andie's choice of music, "You're going to have us practicing to classical music next at this rate!" She couldn't help ribbing the coach about her choice of music - It was basically standard protocol at this point. Although, to be fair, Sina actually didn't mind classical music, and Andie's choices weren't that bad. It was just the principle of the thing.

"Now, there's a brilliant idea!" She replied to Sina's comment, that is if she could find anything upbeat enough. She silently observed as the squad stretched out. Ok, I have six dates up on the board, which takes us toward spring next year." Beside each date, she wrote the name of the competition they would be attending: Somerset Classic, Cheer Elite Classic, Capital Cup Champs, Cheer Elite Invitational, Blue Grass Classic, Best of the Best (nat champs). She looked at the teenagers with a grin and wiggled her eyebrows. "Yes, it's going to be a lot of work. Yes, it will mean many hours in the studio here. But, it will allow you to show so many scouts what you are made of and that you are more than willing to bring it!"
She capped the pen and walked to sit on the mat, legs folded under her as she grabbed her clipboard. "Six competitions means that we will at least need two cheers for each competition." Her smile grew as did her excitement. "Kall and I normally handle the working out of routines, but for something like this, it's going to need to be a group effort, as the last thing we need, it to walk into one of those competitions and show them something they've seen before. I'm going to write out one big email to all your parents, and let them know where we're going and when - this way they can be there too if they feel the need - just so I can say I've dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's." She looked at the group again. "Any questions, so far?"

Kall shot Sina a withering look. "Don't give the woman ideas on ways to torture us." He hissed as he stretched forward and curled his hands around the soles of his feet.
He looked up as Andie began speaking, watching as she wrote down the names of the competitions on the board. He nodded as they were written down, his suspicions confirmed, as he and the Coach had been going over dates for a couple of months, trying to fit in as many competitions as they could without getting in the way of actual life and having enough room between then so that he didn't burn the squad out... Imagine leaving that kind of legacy when he graduated?
He was pleased that she had run with the idea to work of the routines as a squad, as this way they could work in everyone's strengths, rather than just what he knew they could do, and with so many to learn, it would be easier to remember them, of they all took part is choreographing them.

Tori shook her head at the banter between the coach and the older squad members, she couldn't wait until she felt that comfortable around here to talk to an adult so casually- and she'd be on campus a year now, so it could be a long time coming.
She leaned up from a straddle split, to stretch her back, and watched what Andie was writing on the board. "Yay us!" She grinned as she counted the competitions listed. Yes, there were indeed six of them, it was going to be a busy year. She walked her hands back so that she was sitting again and moved her legs to point her toes in front of her. She quickly shook her head to the question about questions. She was still trying to get her mind around all the competitions they would be going to!

That was a long list of dates, the blonde commented inwardly, but there was still a smile rather than a frown on her face, which was possibly a reflection of how much she loved what she was doing here... possibly of how much of an optimist she was. Or a mixture of both. Either way, she was really rather looking forward to it, and God knew she needed something to keep her flexible, what with all those hours she spent sitting stiffly in the saddle.
She shook her head at the request to questions, though she knew that as soon as she left the room, her head would be full of them. It wasn't at the moment, which was just typical. Still, she could always ask them next time... by which time she'd have forgotten them again, she didn't doubt.

Sina stuck her tongue out at Kall, ignoring the reproach, and went back to her stretching as she listened to and watched Andie. She wasn't too surprised, it was a bit more than the previous year, but all the better. It'd keep them busy, and it was enough time between comps to practice new things, without getting rusty or complacent. She shook her head as Andie asked about questions - It was straightforward enough.
