Ida rubbed the steering wheel of her Jeep as she turned the engine off. It had been a long drive, and she was pleased that she had decided to make it over three days rather then trying to do it all in one. She was tired enough, and had enough to do now that she was here, that thee was no point that she was also completely shattered from the drive.
Jumping out of her large vehicle, she closed the door behind her and pocketed the keys. After pausing long enough to send her mother a text to say that she had arrived in one piece, she made her way across the parking lot and into the main office.
While nervousness fluttered through her stomach like a million butterflies, she saw this as the rainbow to the storm that had settled over her life since the end of her last job. She swallowed hard as she pushed the door open, reining her emotions in, as the thought of the property that had burned down, and the loss of so many lives, still made her pause, all these months later.
With a forced confident smile, she approached the desk. "Hello." She greeted the person sitting there. "My name is Ida Clark, I was instructed to check in here."

Anne hummed softly to herself as she sat with the handset of the desk phone to her ear. These days, she seemed to spend endless time on hold, but she'd grown used to it, and in fact, the music could be rather relaxing if you didn't mind going slightly insane.
Glancing up as the door opened, she smiled at the woman who walked in and set down the phone- no doubt they'd call back if they really wanted to speak to her. "Hello, Ida," she greeted the woman, twitching the mouse to wake up the computer and tapping at the keys. "Let me see... You'll be in Room 110 of the Brown Ribbon House." Taking out a map, she circled the building and dropped a key on top of it. "The Evening Primrose barn is here-" Again, she circled it- "And if you have any questions, the manager is Tobias. Any questions for me at the moment?"
Ida nodded at the room number, hoping that it would at least be on the key in case she forgot, as going to her apartment was the last thing on her list of things to do, and watched the map as the woman spoke and circled places.
She had already spoken to Tobias, but she couldn't wait to put a face to the voice and name, so decided that would be her first point of call. At least it would give her a chance to look around the barn and get to know the mares she would be working with.
She shook her head to the question. "Thank you, but no. You have told me everything I need for now. I will come back and see you if I do have any questions that I can't find answers for." She took up the key and map. "Again, thank you." With a smile and a wave, she made her way out of the office and back over to her vehicle.
