Jordan flipped on the lights, walking into his classroom. There were lab tables filling the classroom- two stools per table. There were boards on two walls of the room, and the walls were a dark olive green. He decided immediately that he would assign his students' seats. Less trouble and talking that way, he told himself. He stuck a number on each table and went to write in the board.

When he finished writing on the board he took a seat at his desk, skimming through the textbook, trying to go ahead and figure out future lesson plans as he waited for the students to arrive.

Trouble? Parker was just grand with trouble. The young man had a spark in his step and in his eyes. He couldn't help that. Long legs and an easy step, looking like summer in the middle of winter-- tank top flowing lightly at his sides. This was hardly winter, as far as he was concerned. A warm winter for a boy from higher up in the mountains. He didn't miss the snow, Parker could tell you that much. No, the summer boy made his way through the halls of the actual class building like a spark aflame. He was ablaze, and he couldn't help that. Bright. Brilliant.

He was a little put off by the fact he was the first one in, but he moved with his eyes on the screen of his phone. Second bell hadn't rung yet, it wasn't time for him to be paying attention quite yet. The young man climbed into his seat at table ten, posture immediately picking up a slouch. He wouldn't make eye contact with Mr. Anderson yet... not time for that. Not time to actually become a real functioning student. For now? Texting one of his friends from back home. A lab experiment had gone wrong, rendering them outside for the firefighters to come in and clear the building.

Everleigh walked into the biology classroom, scanning the room for other people. As always, she was early, only two other people in classroom, including the teacher. The teacher was intently looking through the textbook, occasionally making notes in what looked like a lesson plan book. He looked kind of off-putting. She glanced at the board, reading over it and seeing that it was a seating assignment. She noticed Valentine and Zak's names and smiled to herself, so two of the friends she had already made would be her class. She sighed, maybe it would be good for her to meet new people, but it would have been better if ah could have sat with one of the boys she had already met. She glanced around for table 10.

Funny enough, the only other student in the room was apparently her lab partner. He blonde, and his posture told her that he was probably like the boys she was kind of intimidated by at her old school. She walked over to the seat and sat down beside the boy. Might as well be friendly. She thought to herself. "Hi," she said to the boy as she sat down, "I'm Everleigh." She said, adding a smile.

Catia walked down the hall way towards her next class. Biology she thought. Catia liked biology she found it fascinating. She walked into the biology class room noting that there were only two other students in the class room and the teacher of course. Catia glanced at the students in the class room and she didn't recognize them so she probably didn't know them. The girl read the instructions on the board. She didn't know the person she was to share a lab table with. She was happy that Amy was in here so she would know at least one person in this class room. The girl looked around the room. It looked like a nice science room. Catia began to scan around the room looking for her table.

After a few seconds of looking around she finally found Table 7. Catia walked over to the table and took a seat setting her black messenger bag on the floor besides her seat. Catia drummed her fingers on her desk for a few seconds before looking at the door to see if anyone else had come in the class room. Catia was early to all of her classes so far but she didn't mind it. Being early was better than being late or at least she thought that. Some people might not think that but every person was allowed to have their own opinion of things. Catia turned to her lab partner and decided to introduce herself.  "Hi." Catia said to the girl before continuing speaking. "I'm Catia Iltchenko." The girl said introducing herself to her lab partner.

[Othello Buskirk]

Othello walked down the hallway of the science building, rubbing his temples as he headed toward the biology lab. The boy blew out a breath as he tried to gather his thoughts, and failed. Today had not been the best of days, he felt nauseous and light headed, feelings he was more used to in the middle of summer, rather than winter, but he was trying to ignore the feeling as he went through his classes. He had yet to run out of the room.

Walking into the room, his eyes scanned the area. He groaned inwardly at the fact that he wasn't the first to arrive. If he had been, he would have had a word to the teacher about his queasiness, but since he would now have an audience, he turned his attention to the board and then quickly found his seat.

Sitting down at the empty table, he pulled out his folder and pencil case, along with his ever present bottle of Gaterade - which he would remove if asked - and dropped the bag on the ground. He then pulled out the pens he would need, opened the folder and dated the top of the page, ready to start.

[Thomas Oliver]

Tommy shouldered his messenger bag as he walked through the science building and down to the room where he had his biology class. The boy was in a bit of a mood, his mother had given him a lecture that morning about letting his other lessons slip, and he had mouthed off at her. Of course, he now felt horribly guilty for back-chatting - something he would never dream of doing in the past - and he wanted classes to be over so that he could phone her up again and apologise. Sure, he could text the apology to her, but he wouldn't have liked getting an apology that way.

Walking in, he looked at the board. "Seriously?" He muttered, his eyes widening in astonishment to the fact that they had been assigned seats. That was as far as his complaining went though as he walked through the room and sat down at the table with the number eleven on it - the only one large enough for three people - and pulled the things he needed out of his bag.

Pulling the coloured pencils out of his pencil case, he quickly drew a picture of a bouquet of flowers - a skill in art that he kept as a closely hidden secret - drew a circle around the flowers, placed his hand over it, closed his eyes and whispered a quick incantation. It was something him and Reni had been taught as children, he didn't know if it would work for his mother, but his heart was in the right place, and he hoped that at least the feeling of warmth and love would surround his mother, even if the picture didn't appear where she could see it. Opening his eyes, he rubbed his hands together, folded the sheet of paper in half and tucked it away in the back of the folder.

[Danielle Green]

Biology was a class that she looked forward. As she headed to the class her earphones were plugged in and it was liked the sixteen year old was in a world of her own. Counting Stars by OneRepublic rung in her ears as Danielle walked down the hallway to her science class. Her hair was pulled back into an “I don’t care” ponytail, which meant she didn’t give it much thought when she put it up. A few more songs on playlist finished, including Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, before she got to the class room and she took her earphones out and turned off the music.

She looked at the other four students and then at the board which sadly told her there were assigned seats. Danny cocked an eyebrow upwards and spotted her name and searched around for the table number. Her table partner wasn’t here yet and she sort of hoped that he wasn’t going to be, but she wasn’t lucky like that. She wasn’t antisocial but she preferred to work alone when it came to academics and riding, unless of course it was a mounted class, where she had to be around other people. She took a seat, fished her notebook out and put it on the table with a pencil next to it. Danielle placed her bag by her feet, put her elbows on the table and her head in her hands waiting for class to start.

Zak looked forward to biology but then again he looked forward to every lesson at Blue Ridge. His black messenger bag hit against his leg as he walked quickly towards the biology classroom hoping not to be late. As he arrived he scanned the classroom and there seemed to be many people already there and then he noticed the board which told Zak he was to sit at an assigned seat. He did not mind being at an assigned seat because it did not make Zak worry about who to sit with. He walked over to table eleven which already had a boy sitting at it and sat down. He put his black messenger bag down on the floor and took his pencil case, a folder and a notebook out and sat them on the table waiting for the teacher- Mr Anderson to start the lesson. Zak hoped it would be a good lesson as he loved doing biology. He looked at the board to see if he recognised anyone, then he noticed Everleigh and Valentine were in the class and he smiled to himself and thought at least he knew somebody in the class. Everleigh and Valentine both counted as friends to Zak.

[Becca Walsh]

    Becca was in an absolutely wicked mood as she set out for her academic classes that morning. She'd completely ignored her alarm clock the first two times which made her late to breakfast, which she usually liked to get to early. Of course, by the time she got there, there was minimal time and the food had been picked over, so she ended up with an orange to eat on the way to her biology class, which she was definitely not in the right state of mind for.

    Storming in the door, she could not possibly care any less about what people thought of her and her furrowed brow. Pausing after entering to stare at the board, she quickly found her name as one of the first listed, and sat herself down at the first table. At least her lab partner wasn't here yet. Maybe they wouldn't show, if she was lucky. The only good part of the day so far was that she was sitting at a lab bench, which was better than a desk in her opinion, offering more space for both her and the other unfortunate student paired with her. After pulling a notebook from her bag, Becca opened it to a blank page and began to sketch in the margins as she waited.

[Peter Holden]

    Peter actually liked the halls of Blue Ridge's academic buildings during the early morning. Before they filled with students hurrying to get to their classes, they were empty and quiet, especially since most of the teachers were still getting their breakfast as well. So, he ended up wandering them with his camera, playing with how the morning light shone through the windows, splaying shadows across desks and bookcases. 

    It wasn't until students began to join him that he realized that he was across the building from his biology class, and he had better get going. Shoving his camera in its bag, he made his way over to the biology classroom and found that though he may have been among the first in the building, he wasn't among the first to get to this class.

    It took him a moment to find his name on the board, and then another for him to find table nine, where he promptly settled himself. While waiting for the class to begin, he flipped through the pictures he'd gotten on his camera and then took out a notebook so that he would be ready when the teacher started the class. It shouldn't be terribly unpleasant, though it was unfortunate that the class was so big.

[Amelia DeFoe]

Amy had been hoping to get to the classroom for her Biology class early, but then Wolf had managed to get a thorn in his paw when they had cut across one of the areas rather than taking the path. It had taken some time to staunch the bleeding, since she didn't want him to leave blood on the hallways, but now it was stopped, and the dog was wearing all four of his booties, if only to give the appearance that it had been intentional, and not a stop-gap measure.

Entering her biology classroom, she saw table numbers, and students sitting seemingly at random. She looked up at the board, scanning through the names until she found her name. A small smile passed over her face as she considered joking to the dog that he would have to stand in the back, but the smile disappeared quickly enough, and she walked over to her table, seeing another student already sitting there. With a nod at him, she took her seat, asking Wolf to lay next to the table and dropping her backpack next to him. Pulling out a notebook and a pencil. she looked up at the teacher, waiting for class to begin.

John shouldered his backpack and walked out of the cafeteria, slipping the half-full bottle of orange juice into the drink pocket that wasn't occupied by a bottle of water. He had heard through the grapevine that there was a new biology teacher, and today was supposed to be their first day with the new teacher. He finally found the classroom where the class was supposed to be held.

Entering the classroom, he looked around. As he walked further in, he spotted writing on the board and looked up at it, sighting silently as he saw that they would be sitting in assigned seats. He read down the list, finally finding his own name. As he glanced around, finding the table that he was supposed to be at, he noticed that his partner wasn't present yet. He chose one of the two seats and put down his bag, before sitting down in the chair and settling in. After a moment or two, he pulled out his notebook and started doodling on the front cover, waiting for either the class to begin or his partner to arrive. The teacher was up front at his desk, apparently reading through some kind of textbook.

[Miranda Florin]

Miranda had visited Fingal before school started, but had left earlier that day. She was sad that she was going to be saying goodbye to the gelding soon, but then, the Academy wasn't the place for Fingal, and she was going to be at the Academy for a few more years. Kissing him on the muzzle, she walked into the clinic's bathroom and washed her hands, then picked up her backpack and headed back towards the academic area of the school.

Entering the building, she wound her way through the other students and made her way towards the Science area. As she entered the classroom, she spotted Leo already. Smiling at him, she looked towards the board, finding her name quickly enough and then finding the table. She was slightly miffed that they were assigned seats like elementary school kids, but she could understand the new teacher's position too. After all, he probably wasn't sure of the students yet either.

She took the seat she was assigned, nodding to her partner as she dug through her backpack to find the new spiral she had packed the day before. Putting it onto her desk, along with a pen, she looked forward, waiting for the class to start, but then, she heard her partner's voice. Turning over to her, she inclined her head, "Miranda Florin." Turning her attention back to the front, she studied the teacher for a while, wondering what the class would be like.
