Personality: Standoff-ish and temperamental are good terms for Cedar. He hates everyone and everything, or at least that how he displays himself. You could walk into his field with a bag of carrots and he'd still flatten his ears at you before walking off. He needs to be the boss of the paddock, and will put other horses in their place if they need to be reminded who's top-dog. He will even flatten his ears at Anastasie, but once she has her hand on him, he's the perfect gentleman - he knows that she means protection. He has the utmost perfect ground manners, as long as his girl is with him. However, if you get a chance to watch him in the pasture without him knowing you are there, you can tell he's just a baby that wants to discover the world around him as he investigates everything around him.

The History
Basic History: His life as a pacer was short-lived as he didn't run as fast as they wanted. He was broken in quickly and moved from home to home, ridden by a number of different people. Cedar hated having so many different riders on his back and started to fight back. He learned the easiest way to dispose his rider was to kick up his back legs. He was also twitched in the past which has made him terribly head shy and won't stand to have his ears touched. He is also terrified of whips.

Personality: Gypsy can be a little bit of a loose cannon at times, but Ana puts this down to his age. He's great to handle, easy to groom, that is until something "scary" catches his eyes and then all he wants is to be out of the area. So Ana never knows what to expect from one day to the next. He can often be seen standing around with his upper lip lifted as he likes to flehmen. Another thing Ana is working on is the fact that he sometimes forgets about personal space and will step on his handler.
In the pasture, he's the lonesome type, happy with his own company, and will more often be seen standing alone - possibly deep in thought.
This boy;s one weakness is Peppermint, which Ana found out when he got hold of her lifesavers roll one day and ate every single one and then looked around for more!

Basic History: This adorable little filly is from a local stables who just didn’t have the time to raise her. She’s just been weaned at the stables are selling her on as soon as they can to free up room. She’s been hand raised though, her mother rejected her. Her dam was a pure Arabian and her Sire was an American Quarter Horse

Personality: Casper is a very laid-back horse. However, if something displeases him, or bothers him, he is quick to show it with a laid back ear or two. However, he never bites or kicks out, so these are merely indicators of his displeasure. He is a very school-masterly horse, in that a beginner could ride him, but he has enough knowledge of the show world to make it seem as though the person on top of him is the best rider in the world.
History: Casper was bred in Maine, but was brought to Hanover to be judged and accepted into the registry. He was trained for all Eventing types, although his first owners spent most of their time on dressage. He had to be sold when he was five, due to the farm's financial difficulties, and was moved to a mostly cross country stable. They gelded him there, despite his pedigree and value, out of ignorance. One night, a fire burned the stables to the ground. Most of the horses were brought out alive and saved, including Casper. However, in the confusion, he ran away and was brought into a riding school that used him for the more advanced show-jumpers. However, his push-button temperament moved him down the list of favorites, and eventually he was moved on, to Blue Ridge, where he shall hopefully find a new owner who doesn't need temperament.

Basic History>> Bruce found Boss by chance. He was visiting friends who had recently purchased a large farm on the Canterbury Plains. While they were out in the farm truck surveying the paddocks when the horse appeared out of nowhere. After a number of calls it seemed that the horse had been abandoned on the property so the new property owners also owned the horse. As the couple knew nothing of horses they were more than happy for Bruce to take the horse with him. At the time he was found, Boss was a stallion, but Bruce had him gelded so that Bruce could teach on horseback.

Personality: Fly is a very easy-going horse, quite like her owner, which is what makes them a good team. When in the stable, she always has her head hanging over the door waiting for pats - always acting the neglected horse. In the ring she learns fast and at times will try and take control of the lesson if she thinks that she knows what is happening so Katherine needs to keep the mare guessing. In competitions, Fly is almost unbeatable as she has a very strong competitive spirit - moreso than her rider.

The History
Basic History: Fly has never known a life that wasn't full of love and affection. She was bred and raised at the barn where Katherine worked. Her very breeding was selected from the best of the best and her dam was watched carefully to make sure that nothing went wrong at any stage during the foaling. Her training began pretty much from day one - good thing her dam was good natured and didn't mind the humans close to her tiny infant. At the age of 2 (the horse, not the woman), Katherine purchased the filly and began to fine tune her training for another year before putting the young horse under the saddle and began to ride her.

While is a perfect gentleman while under the saddle, he can be a little pushy when on the ground and forgets about his handler when going through gates or doors and will unintentionally push his handler into door frames or gate-posts - though this could be worked with. The History
Basic History: Globe was an accidental foaling at a small family farm when the Andalusian stallion from the stud farm down the road got came visiting. Although not planned, he was raised carefully by his owners and gelded before he was a yearling. After sensitive training, he was then sold on. He has been through only a handful of owners and each of them have treated him perfectly. Because of his wonderful and gentle handling, Globe is the sweetest horse and is now a great school master who is gentle with his riders and teaches them well in his own unique way.

Basic History>> Quill was carefully bred at a Warmblood breeding stable. However his dam didn't handle the foaling and died a few days later. Since the young colt had managed to get the much needed colostrum, there wasn't too much worry about his survival and after his dam died, he was hand-reared.

Personality: Tess is picky with who she will let near her, but once she had deemed you to be her friend, nothing will change this. She is spunky and willful, headstrong and stubborn. If she decides that she doesn't like a certain fence, there is no way that you are going to get her to go over it (not in that session anyway). She is also a huge teddy bear though and will do anything for a pat and a kind word.

The History
Basic History: Tess has had a very eventful life (for a young horse). She was left unhandled with her dam for six months and then was quickly shown the basics (haltering, leading, picking her feet up and such). She then moved from home to home, never settling into one before sent to another. Because of this, she learned a number of bad (lazy) habits. When she was four, she was purchased by a hunter jumper barn, and one of the young riders forgot to make sure the mare had dropped the bit before the girl walked away with the bridle and yanked the mare's teeth, so now she can't be tied up while having a bridle put on or taken off.

Personality: Mouse is still a little bit silly and frisky, but it will fade with more experience and age. Her good training shows in her wonderful bascule and her eagerness to get into the show ring. She hates having a bit put into her mouth, and sometimes flat-out refuses to take a jump, trying to 'duck out' instead. She has the potential to go far, and with the right training, may also make a good dressage mount, although she seems to be the best in Show Jumping. She is scared of mice, which came out only after she was given her name, ironically.

The History
Basic History: Mouse's mother was sold to a western ranch months before Mouse's birth. The owners took care of her until Mouse was weaned, then sold the two horses separately. Mouse was taken on by a horse trainer who wanted a horse for his daughter. Once the horse was trained, however, she and the girl weren't a good match, so the mare was sold on.

In the arena he is a complete dream, and never seems to have an off day (though Andie knows otherwise).

The History
Basic History: Born and raised on a farm that produced top of the line hunters and jumpers. They had planned for him to be their next top stallion. However, Shay didn't have the perfect temperament that they were looking for. As a colt, he was too nippy and it took a lot to train the colt. He was then trained in jumping and dressage, which he took to like a fish to water, and it was his performance at a show that caught Andie's eye.

Personality: Harry, despite his age, is a great teacher and takes great care of his rider. It has been said that he was born to jump and this is evident when he's out on the trails and doesn't hesitate to jump anything - giving his rider the confidence to jump as well. He has wonderful manners (on the ground and under saddle), though is known to nip if he doesn't get what he wants.

The History
Basic History: Harry's life started pretty well, he was born at a breeding barn, was trained, broken in and then sold (at the age of 2 and a half) to a riding barn. He was then ridden pretty hard for the next couple of years.

His life at the riding school ended after a road ride. Things were going well until Harry's rider decided that her horse wasn't moving fast enough and brought the crop she was holding down on his side. However, as this happened a car not too far away backfired, causing the gelding to spook and shot forward as he was struck. His shod hooves skidded on the wet grass and he went down. He got up and they returned to the yard, but Harry was never the after that. Now unsound and unpredictable, the gelding was no longer safe to have at a riding school so he was sent to auction.

Mr and Mrs Buskirk (Senior) were at the auction looking for some horses for their farm. Mrs Buskirk had been a riding instructor and missed riding horses, it was also a passion she wished to instil into at least one of her grandchildren. They found a couple of really nice looking horses. It wasn't Harry's breed that drew them to him, but how sad he looked. He, and the other horses they found, went to the Buskirk farm.

When Othello came to the farm to recuperate after his hospital treatments (when they felt that his condition had gone into remission), Harry seemed to see the boy as a kindred spirit and even though Othello had never been around horses before, they bonded quickly and Aisha, his grandmother, didn't hesitate before she started training horse and rider. Harry's true personality was quickly discovered and he became as much of a teacher for his rider as the woman.

Personality: Amber is the sweetest mare that you will ever meet, she will throw her heart and soul into everything she is doing, without asking any questions or arguing, and this doesn't matter if she's being handled on the ground or while being ridden.

The History
Basic History: Amber was born at a hunter jumper barn, and her training started the day she was born. Many people tried to tell the barn owners that they were training their foals too quickly, but they never listened. Amber was always a gentle horse and did everything that was asked of her.

It was when she was two that everything went wrong, while travelling to a show - she was already fully broken in and entered in dressage shows - when the truck skidded on a corner and the mare lost her footing and fell over in the back of the truck. The drivers never stopped so the filly remained like this until they arrived at the show grounds. By now, Amber was beside herself and once her rope was cut and she found her feet she bolted from the truck. After this she wouldn't go anywhere near a trailer without being drugged so she was sold on.

Two years later, the Oliver family found her cowering in the back of her stall at a sales yard and took her home, since both Mr and Mrs Oliver ran a business where they rehabilitated animals.
