Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Peter picked up his laptop and the folder sitting on top of it, tucking the pile under his arm as he looked around for anything else that he needed, then walked out of the office, pulling his door shut. He had planned an extra half an hour for setting up the class, seeing as it was slightly more technical today. Putting his stuff down on the cart he had borrowed from the proper academy building, which already held a projector, he went through the papers, putting a small stapled pile to the side, and leaving the slide notes on top, before he turned to set up his laptop.
It didn't take too long, the projector complying for once, and Peter was done before the time he had allotted himself before the class started. He took a juice out of the fridge, then pulled his favorite armchair over to the projector, sitting down and taking a drink as he watched the door.
As his students entered, he handed each of them a packet of the handouts, smiling, "I hope you brought a pencil, but if not, there's some on the counter." He gave the class some time to settle down, while also waiting for any straggles, then stood up and walked towards the wall, which for the day, had been cleared of posters, to leave a blank area.

Kai smiled as he headed towards the Evening Primrose barn. Sure, he might love his mounted classes, which offered him a great oppertunity to work with Lupus under the eye of an instructor, but they were very draining on some days, and he knew to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that equine reproduction offered.
As he walked into the classroom, he was surprised to find that he was the first student there. After greeting the teacher with a smile, he turned to the armchairs, choosing one that would give him a nice angle on the projector, then settled the note packet that they had been given across his knees before he started digging through his backpack.
He pulled out a pencil, along with a rigid folder that he could write on, and a book that he had grabbed that he hoped would help him with a couple of questions he'd had in biology. After students had trickled in, and Sir Solomon had risen to walk over to the projecting wall, he put his book away, sliding it carefully back into his backpack, before he found his pencil again and poised it over the paper, ready to take notes in the margins of the handout.

Cara rubbed her right temple as she headed toward her next class. Though she would never admit it, she was pleased that she wasn't spending the next hour in a saddle, as she didn't think her body would handled the shift in her centre of gravity again.
Walking into the classroom, her eyes darted around and spotted only one other student, a member of the male gymnastics team, and the teacher. Stepping forward she accepted the proffered note packet from Sir Solomon, with a whispered thank you, and walked over to one of the chairs near the front of the room.
Sitting on the edge of the chair, she took her glasses case from the messenger bag, she had placed on the floor by her feet, and put them on before she removed the red binder and unzipped the cover, nodding to see that her pens, pencil, eraser and ruler were all where she had left them. She tucked the packet into the concertinaed part of the binder, ready to take out when they were needed, and she read through the last thing she had written up about the mare. The mare was a dream to work with, though the girl was interested to see if her demeanour changed as her pregnancy progressed.
She stopped reading when she saw the teacher move and she took out the notes the had been given, along with the pencil from her binder, and sat ready to take any notes - though her notes would be written into her binder.
Walking with intent towards the Evening Primrose barn Jackson made it there though he really didn't need to walk with a purpose as there were only two other students there. He took a seat and pulled out a pencil and a notebook for the notes that they would take in today's class. Jackson had worked with Char on occasion though he was a little uneasy with her at times, he loved working with her. She was more of a challenge and gave him a different kind of horse to look after. Yes he still had another mare to be ridden around, but not a pregnant mare.
Jackson had lunged Char but hadn't gotten up onto her back yet and she was progressing along in her pregnancies so that might not happen. He figured like all pregnant things, humans and animals eating was apart of being in gestation and Jackson liked to know that Char was keeping her weight down, with the extra food she might have been eating.
Folding the notebook cover back Jackson wrote the date and the class at the top of the page and then waited for more students to file in and class to start. Taking a deep breath Jackson leaned back in his chair and waited.
Oh what a beautiful day, she spoke with a bit of a whisper to herself. She had a bit of a skip to her step as she walked from the dorm room to Primrose barn. She pulled her jacket around her as the wind blew a little, but the sun had kept the ground warm enough to only need a light jacket. She pulled her phone out as it beeped and looked at the message her father sent her saying that he loved her and how much he missed her.
It didn't take long for her to get to the barn and walked inside the classroom. She smiled at a couple of students that she recognized from elot her classes. She took the package from the teacher and smiled a "thank you" his way. She found her a seat and took it while pulling out something to write with and a notebook.
She opened the note book and wrote the date and looked around the classroom and began to draw at the top of the paper of trees and horses. Sometimes writing her name in different font until she got the perfect quality of her name. She couldn't wait until the teacher got the class started. She wondweed what they were going to do today.
Having completed his final mounted class for the day, Ronan untacked Tally and brushed her before rugging her and turning her out. They'd had very good lessons, which never failed to put him in a good mood, nor did going to his Equine Reproduction or Foal Handling class. He liked going to these classes right after working with Tally because it reminded him of how much progress they had made, and how Tally used to be a tiny thing who didn't know what to do with her legs. Flirt, Tally's mother, was a permanent resident of the McAleese farm, and she lived there happily in retirement, giving sass to anyone she deemed unworthy of her presence.
After neatening up Tally's tack quickly, Ronan made his way over to the Evening Primrose Barn classroom. Upon entering, he smiled at Sir Solomon in greeting and took a packet, finding a seat next to Stefan. He smiled at his classmate, much more easily now than he once had, and greeted him with a grin, "Hello!"
Taking out a pencil, he prepared for what he supposed would be a lecture, ready to take notes. He genuinely enjoyed this class, even though Lee wasn't the best-mannered mare. Ronan worked with her colt too, and both had a bit of an attitude that took a certain patience to deal with.
She made the quick walk from the White Oak barn, where she had just finished untacking Sugar, to the Evening Primrose barn, where her next class was being held. After being on the same horse for two hours, she was happy to be back on the ground on her own two feet, though they hadn't done much that had to do with posting or anything, so she wasn't exactly in pain.
Upon entering, she made her way to the classroom, glancing at all the mares as she passed by. The ones that she got a good look at were all so pretty, it gave her butterflies in her stomach just thinking about how much fun the class was going to be. It being Callie's first few days at the school, she was so excited to just jump in and get started. As she passed through the door she took a packet, taking a seat towards the back and flipping through the packet, scanning it a bit before bending down to her backpack and rifling through it to find a pencil. Luckily, a sharp pencil lay unbroken at the top of her spirals and binders, and she took it out, ready for whatever the class would hold.
McKenzie walkd slowly towards the Evening Primrose barn, ready for her first class was being held. She had slept all morning, and she was happy for a chance to get out in the open.
After entering, she took a random path through the barn, admiring all the mares. She felt extremely happy, her first days at school gad been great so far, and she was hoping to keep it up.
As she entered the classroom she looked around. The teacher was sitting down in an armchair and some students were too, so McKenzie accepted the packet, whispered "Thank you." and sat down in a red one.
She leaned down, stretching for her bag, and straightened up, pencil case in hand. She set it beside her rump, before reaching down for her notebook. As it was her first class, it wasn't labeled yet, and she neatly wrote 'Equine Reproduction "Repro" ' On the front.
She took a few seconds to examine the class. She had seen some kids around, but didn't meet any yet. The teacher was seated comfortably, waiting for students to enter.
McKenzie decided that she would be safe in this class.
