Being an instructor as well as a barn manager meant that there were days that she wasn't in the barn, but she wasn't used to being this far away from the barn during the day, for the length of time she would be, but she knew that the barn was in good hands while she was away and she had her phone should she be needed.
Once her own students, and those of Ms Tigani's herbal remedies class, she waited until the students had split themselves into groups of two and were in a work station, and once she had everyone's attention, she walked to each kitchen station and placed two copies of two recipes she had found for them to make. "As with human's, treats should be something we give our four-legged friends in moderation." She said. "However, there should also be no reason that they should cost an arm and a leg either. These two recipes are not only easy to make, but you will no doubt have everything you need in the kitchen at home... or in this case, in the pantries here." She smiled in Sina's direction. "These treats are also dog friendly."
She walked back to sit at the teacher's kitchen. "I'm here if you have any questions."

Signing up for herbal remedies had been his idea of one of the easiest classes, he just hand't expected to learn so much while in the class. However, when he got a note telling him the class would be combine with another and in the home ec room, his interest was piqued.
He stood in one of the kitchens, not looking the most welcoming, and waited to see who would be willing enough to work with him.

Tijn had taken the news that their class was combined with another in stride - Things happened. And this class was taking place in a different classroom, which was another interest factor.
He glanced around and saw he was the second to arrive. He went to stand by his housemate, giving the other boy an easy smile as he joined him. Finn's less-than-friendly face might have been off-putting to some, but at least Tijn wasn't risking whoever might walk in as a partner. The devil you know, and all that jazz.
After Ms. Carr had finished her spiel, Tijn considered the two recipes that had been handed to them, "Do you want to do both and switch half? Or just make one batch of one or the other?"

Sina almost automatically headed for the herbal remedies classroom that afternoon - Until, halfway up the stairs, she remembered that the class had been combined and moved for that day. Sighing, she and Derecho turned back around and headed to the home ec room. At least they had been early!
She entered the home ec room - Probably for the first time since arriving to campus, she mused. She looked at the setup for a brief moment, and after a moment's conversation with Ms. Carr, she'd settled Derecho in the footspace under one of the counters, and was seated on her stool - Which would go to the front of the room once they were working.

Gerri's phone beeped at the lunch table, as a reminder about the changed location for her first afternoon class. After getting rid of that notification, the girl cleared her table and, once she'd grabbed her things, headed for the home ec classroom.
She wasn't even the first one there, but the rest of the students were all older, so she picked an unoccupied space and grabbed a stool from there, waiting to see who would come partner up with her.

Finn arched an eyebrow as Tijn approached him and laughed quietly, as the two of them hadn't exactly interacted much since the dress-up day when he'd bossed Cara around.
"Probably be easier to just do one each and then split them. I'll give you the burned half of mine, and you can do the same." He checked the times on both of the recipes and stepped over to turn both ovens on. "I'll make the applesauce one." It didn't seem to need the precision that the gingerbread one required.

Tijn nodded at Finn's suggestion and started gathering the ingredients he'd need, since his partner had the ovens under control already. He started prepping the bowls and then checked things off as he did them, not wanting to miss a step. He was regretting approaching Finn at the moment, since now that he'd started, he was feeling all sorts of pressure. He didn't want to be the one to mess up!

Sina shrugged as people stopped trickling in and she was still alone. It was all the same to her. She looked at the recipes and then shuffled the papers to put the gingerbread recipe on top. After setting the oven, she collected her supplies and started mixing everything together. Once that was done, she rolled it out on the counter and searched through the shapes they had, finally pulling out an assortment of shapes - Bones, carrots, apples, and anything else relevant she could find.

Luke wasn't late. Of course he wasn't. He was on time for a different lesson- in fact, he was actually early for a different lesson, which he thought should earn him some brownie points straight away. Unfortunately, he doubted that Ms. Carr would agree with that point of view, though he hoped that the fact that his lateness was due to having been doing homework for his science class might excuse him to some degree. Maybe. He waved to the teacher as he entered, mouthing profuse apologies across the room, and, spying Sina by herself, made a beeline for the space next to her. "Hey," he greeted her, slightly awkwardly. "So, what have I missed?"

Gerri grabbed the oat cookie instructions and grabbed the four instructions after heating up the oven - At least these would be easy to do on her own, since it seemed she was the odd one out. Grating the carrot took the longest, but even that wasn't too hard, and before too long, the girl was shaping hearts and stars onto the cookie sheet.
