Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Richard walked around his English classroom, placing a Belkin keyboard case - with ipad - on each of the desks, he would collect the ones not being used once class started, and then walked back to the front of the room and wiped the board clean, and pushed it to the side to uncover the blackboard. Picking up a piece of chalk he began to write on the board:
Thirteen Common Phrases: •Green Eyed Monster •In a Pickle •The World is Your oyster •Catch a Cold •It's all Greek to me •Love is Blind •Wild Goose Chase •A Heart of Gold •Break the Ice •Laughing Stock •Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve •Dogs of War •Method to His Madness
Placing the chalk in the box, he dusted his hands and then walked over to sit at his desk where he began to set up his laptop for the power-point as the students began arriving. Yes, he could have been mean and placed the likes of The Complete works of Shakespeare on the desk, and really made the students squirm - as he didn't know many who really enjoyed reading Shakespeare - but decided against it.

Cara adjusted the bag on her shoulder as she entered the English classroom. With a quick look around thew room, she walked over to her normal table, went through the motions of setting her table up just the way she liked it, then setting the device that had already been there above her folder.
Unzipping the folder, she opened it and lifting the black pen from the top centre of her desk, she began to copy down what was written on the board, keen to see where the lesson was going.

Finn frowned at his phone as he walked down the hall. He was reading through a news site that he often looked through, but someone had made up some trashy story about him and his slipping career as a gymnast, and it didn't look good for him, especially when Penn had offered him a scholarship - not a full riding one, but one none the less, and that depended on his gymnastics. He didn't have much more time to think about it though as he entered the classroom and pocketed the phone before finding his seat.
His attention went to the board and he nodded. Yes, they were common phrases, how very astute of their teacher.

Chase tugged on the straps of his backpack for some relief from the weight of it. He probably could have dropped some books off since only one was a textbook and the others were really making his shoulders ache. He simply didn't make the time for it. He'd pay later.
He entered the English classroom and was not surprised to see Cara. He always had at least one class with her, and even if they didn't consider each other friends he'd become accustomed to her presence. And no matter how early he headed to class, she always somehow arrived before he did.
That aside, he found a desk he wouldn't mind sitting at for a school year and produced a notebook and pencil from his backpack. He placed them next to the iPad on his desk. With that settled, he scanned the phrases on the board. He'd copy them down if he needed to, but for now, he looked to the teacher.

Jessa headed for English Lit, pulling her mind away from the Physics lab they'd been doing and changing gears to the next class.
She found a seat in the classroom - not caring too much about where she sat - and then pulled out her notebook and pencil she had for the class and waited for Mr. Stone to begin.

Tijn whistled quietly as he made his way through the halls, already ready to be done with the academic classes for the day, even through it was only the beginning of second period. He didn't mind them, necessarily, but he enjoyed the equestrian classes so much more!
After dropping his backpack by the chair next to Cara, he sat down and glanced over with a smile, then pulled out his own class supplies.

Kitty walked into the room briskly, her permanent smile in its usual place (on her lips) and her bag in serious danger of slipping off her shoulder as she looked around vaguely for somewhere to sit. Spotting someone who she thought she vaguely recognised- Kitty was terrible at names- the blonde made her way briskly across the room, offering the brunette an even wider smile as she sat down. It started with a J. Jessica. No, Jasmine. Something like that. She settled for "Hi!"

Kall whistled as he walked into the English classroom, knowing that he was cutting it close, but the bell hadn't sounded, so he was still, technically, on time. Flashing a smile toward the teacher he walked over and dropped into a seat behind Kitty.
Without feeling the urge to try and make conversation, or call unwanted attention on himself, he pulled the book he needed from his back and got ready to get started.
