The first thing to notice about Maks is that he is family oriented. His son and daughter are the focal points of his entire life. If they're not happy, he's not happy. They are generally his first and only priority. With this, he can become extremely protective of his daughter. Maks also spoils his daughter beyond belief, giving her nearly anything she would ever want. Aside from giving her everything she wants, he is also there for her whenever she needs it, and at every meet. As for Wesley, he tries his best to connect and be there for him, but they have a starkly different view on the world.
Maks is an opinionated man, and makes it well known to many. He is not afraid to point out the flaws in a system or society and feel the repercussions of that. This helps support his passion for teaching English, as so much is still under discussion. His dedication to the English language often helps out the students, as he spends as much time as possible in the classroom, making himself available. Mose of the time he spends in the classroom after class if for his students to reach out to him and ask for help.
Outside of the classroom, he is rather outgoing and kind. He tries to take into the consideration of others around him but, if he gets going too quickly, he can get slightly loud and obnoxious. Maks doesn't mind being the one to strike up a conversation.

Depending on what mood he is in, Maks can get a little lazy with his clothes and just throw on whatever he feels like mustering up enough energy for.
He enjoys his height, standing at a solid six foot, as it allows his to look over most people, but not tower over them in an intimidating fashion. Full History>>
Growing up in England, Maks was graced with a childhood full of freedom and shenanigans. He and his older siblings used to terrorize their parents with constant injuries, fighting, and causing trouble throughout the county. His mother, a teacher herself, was determined to get them out of the farmlands and to somewhere where they could make a life for themselves and never have to worry about their financial status again.
Around the age of fourteen, his parents were able to get their kids out of England and to America, supporting them with their own teaching jobs. Maks had a fairly uneventful high school life after that. He dealt with the usually traumas, such as deaths, bullying, and embarrassment, with as much courage as capable. It wasn't until after he graduated high school that his life began to change.
He married a woman he met in college not long after meeting her, mostly on a whim. They were in love, but the whirlwind romance was nothing compared to a life together. While in college, just over a year after he married and only months after the birth of their son, he discovered that his wife wasn't entirely faithful to him. Despite trying to work it out, their relationship began to dwindle further. As they nearly hit rock bottom, a new development unfolded; his wife was pregnant again. A baby truly did save their marriage... for a while.
After the awe of children began to fade, old issues that were never solved resurfaced. Again, they tried to rekindle their relationship, but this time it failed. They settled on one divorce in which they shared their kids, and were civil with each other.
Due to an improperly managed account, his school where he taught was forced to make cuts, and instead of angering those in support of the arts, they cut the education. Maks was forced to relocate, and brought his children with him to Blue Ridge.
